When off-the-shelf equipment doesn't fit the operation, we engineer what does. Designed in-house. Reviewed against OEM specification. Proof-tested before commissioning. Built for our contract clients as part of the full package.
Machining, boring, welding, fabrication, finishing. The full pipeline from raw steel to commissioned machine, executed under one roof.

We turn design into steel, and steel into solutions that survive industrial duty cycles.
Every attachment and every modification is designed in CAD, reviewed against the host machine's OEM specification, and stress-checked before fabrication starts.

Milestone has been designing and building custom materials-handling attachments for over two decades. Each generation is informed by the operating data of the one before — what worked, what wore, what could be done better.

The high-lift log loader has been in continuous operation across Milestone's footprint since the late 2000s. The current generation, in commissioning now, carries forward what worked from earlier units and addresses what didn't. The same design philosophy applies across our other engineered attachments: build for the work, learn from the wear, improve the next one.
Where a conventional industrial forklift can't deliver the duty cycle required by an industrial sawmill or kiln operation, we engineer wheel-loader-based forklift conversions sized for the work.
A six-metre mast on a wheel loader chassis handles loads, conditions, and operating hours that would punish a standard forklift into early retirement. The first generation of this conversion has been in continuous operation for over fifteen years. The current generation is on a 2024 platform.
All custom engineering is reviewed against OEM specification, stress-tested where appropriate, and proof-load tested before commissioning. We don't ship attachments we wouldn't run ourselves — and we only build them for the clients we're running.
